United States Army in the World War, 1917-1919

These are the first two volumes of the Army's projected 17-volume documentary history of World War I. The official documents and tables of Volume I ("Organization of the American Expeditionary Forces") are preceded by an account of our participation in major operations from Cambrai (November-December 1917), through those of the Meuse-Argonne (September-November 1918). Volume II is made up of "Policy-Forming Documents" in regard to the A.E.F.
