Dans La Bataille De Méditerranée
By General Catroux
Julliard, 1949, 446 pp.
This is an important autobiographical work by a principal military commander of the Free French forces. Catroux handled himself with tact and perspicacity while High Commissioner in the Levant states, and later in North Africa as conciliator among the contending elements there. This is one of the more valuable memoirs to come out of World War II.
