Allegiance

By Robert Brennan

Browne, 1950, 371 pp.

The former Irish Minister to the United States reminisces about Sinn Fein, the Irish Republican Brotherhood, British jails and allied subjects. Though the history books will not have to be rewritten in the light of these memoirs, Brennan clarifies several episodes and has some interesting reports on De Valera, Griffith, Collins and Childers.
