Fifty Billion Dollars

By Jesse H. Jones with Edward Angly
Macmillan, 1951
631 pp. $6.00

The former head of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, with considerable assistance by Mr. Angly, presents a somewhat complaisant account of his stewardship. It contains a good deal of information on R.F.C. activities and on high politics in the Roosevelt era which, when Mr. Jones has drawn his feuding irons, should be accepted with caution.
