Où Va Le Peuple Américain?

By Daniel Guérin
Julliard, 1950
2 pp. $0.00

This two-volume critique of contemporary America has been the object of much controversy in France. Vehemently hostile to the "tyranny of Big Business," it seeks to depict the forces which will lead to a Socialist United States--labor, the poor farmers and the Negroes. To an American reader the author's categories of analysis--not Stalinist, though he has been called a dupe of the Communists-- seem singularly inappropriate and lead to inaccurate and unpleasant distortions.
