The Atom Spies and Soviet Atomic Spies

The Atom Spies and Soviet Atomic Spies

By Oliver Pilat and Bernard Newman

Putnam and Hale, 1952, 312239 pp.

Two somewhat journalistic accounts of the same story--Soviet espionage for the atomic bomb. Neither book is well organized, but Mr. Pilat's account is more restrained and to the point. Mr. Newman cannot refrain from excursions into Soviet atomic resources and the earlier history of Soviet spy organizations.
