International Trade and Economic Development

In these lectures, delivered at the National University of Brazil in 1950, Professor Viner examines critically current theoretical thinking about international trade, with special concern for the difficulties of using theory as a guide to policy. Much of his final lecture is given to exposing the inadequacies of most recent writing about economic development.
