The Foreign Office
The Foreign Office
By Sir John Tilley and Stephen Gaselee
Putnam, 1933, 335 pp

This volume, the second in the New Whitehall Series designed to "provide authoritative descriptions of the present work of the major Departments of the Central Government," was ably prepared by the former permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. An informative account, if somewhat complacent.
