A History of Soviet Russia and Russland: Staatliche Einheit Und Nationale Vielfalt

The first of these is a substantial, though not particularly inspired, one-volume history of the Soviet Union, a translation of "Geschichte des Bolschewistischen Russland" (Wiesbaden: Rheinische Verlags-Anstalt, 1955, 607 p. DM. 21.80). The earlier work by Dr. Rauch, Professor of Russian History at the University of Marburg, deals with federalistic forces and concepts in Russian history in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
