The Reichswehr and the German Republic, 1919-1926

A very solid monograph, based on the Seeckt, Gessler, Epp and Groener papers, on the recreation of the German Army after World War I. It is the author's conclusion "that the army was less of a disruptive element within the body politic of the Weimar Republic than it has often been believed to be."
