Tides of Crisis
Tides of Crisis
By Adolf A. Berle, Jr.
Reynal, 1957, 328 pp

This is, as Mr. Berle puts it, "a non-technical, somewhat conversational introduction to problems of foreign affairs." After making a fairly rapid survey of the nature and location of our principal areas of crisis, the author turns to the useful attempt to exorcise six "ghosts" of the past--Capitalism, Communism, Nationalism, Imperialism, Race Superiority and Spiritual Supremacy--all of which cripple our ability to think clearly about problems of the present and future.
