Organized Business in France
Organized Business in France
By Henry W. Ehrmann
Princeton University Press, 1957, 514 pp

The grand patronat is an important force in France. Here it is described, anatomized and analyzed in its relation to French business as a whole, the national economy, politics and, more broadly, the character of French life. Professor Ehrmann, who has been working on this subject for a number of years, draws on personal knowledge as well as a vast array of writings, many of them recondite and unfamiliar. This is a first-rate contribution.
