Southeast Asia Among the World Powers
Southeast Asia Among the World Powers
By Amry Vandenbosch and Richard A. Butwell
University of Kentucky Press, 1957, 336 pp

This brief survey is devoted primarily to major political and economic developments since World War II, and to the foreign policies of the newly independent nations of the area. There is also a chapter on United States policy. Descriptive rather than analytical, and based almost entirely on secondary sources, the volume nevertheless provides a competent, up-to-date introduction to postwar Southeast Asia.
