American Investment in British Manufacturing Industry

This pioneering study provides new information on the extent and character of American-owned firms in Britain. It examines the contributions these companies make, for instance, to exports, management methods and research, and judiciously weighs the advantages, to England, the United States and the companies, of the rather extensive American participation in British industry.
