Conn and Fairchild deal with preparations and measures for hemispheric defense, including military coöperation with Brazil, Mexico and Canada. Crowl's study, a companion piece to the "Seizure of the Gilberts and Marshalls," deals with the capture of Saipan, Tinian and Guam.
