The authors' rejection of capitalism and the results that flow from the dominance of the profit motive lead them to predictable judgments, including a proposal for nationalization. Nevertheless, this discussion of the mergers, investments, diversification, and practices of France's aluminum-copper-chemicals-steel conglomerate has a great deal of interest.
