In the Forecasters' Maze

By E. Arab-Ogly
Progress Publishers, 1975
254 pp.

According to this spirited critique by a Soviet scholar, futurology, the new-left movement, the limits-to-growth thesis, and related Western intellectual phenomena are but reactionary efforts to reconcile the working masses with state-monopoly capitalism. Exceptionally well-informed and, on balance, remarkably non-ideological, the author has a lot of interesting things to say.
