The flow of books spurred by the energy crisis continues. Fallon writes mainly for businessmen and provides useful data as of the time of writing. The Sherbiny and Tessler book is a mixed bag of essays which do not shine with originality but represent a fairly high level of scholarship. The book on Iranian oil is comprehensive; that on Saudi Arabia is focused on use of the "oil weapon" in 1973-74 and concludes that it cannot be effectively used in the future.
