This is a substantial volume, containing 45 papers which are now unfortunately several years old (1973). The subject matter is diverse: history, politics, family, church, education, culture, demography, land reform, and three essays devoted to overviews. The authors are mainly from academe, but contributors from RAND and the Smithsonian Institution are also represented.
