The Game of Disarmament: How the United States and Russia Run the Arms Race
The Game of Disarmament: How the United States and Russia Run the Arms Race
By Alva Myrdal
Pantheon, 1977, 397 pp.

A book worthy of its author. For years in the Geneva forum, Alva Myrdal has been the conscience of the superpowers, pointing out the limitations of the "arms control" approach and making the case for "disarmament." Although her arguments are not persuasive to many who would regard them as politically naive, they are strongly stated and well-rooted in knowledge of the issues.
