Revolutionary Law and Order: Politics and Social Change in the USSR
By Peter H. Juviler
Free Press, 1976, 274 pp.

Juviler, a political scientist with a thorough knowledge of Soviet legal practice, has done extraordinarily well with it, and he judiciously limits his conclusions to the evidence.
