In another hefty volume in the "Critical Choices" series, more than a score of experts write on specific regions and problems and give their varying views on what the choices are. The book has no clear message except that things are going to be difficult, especially because of population growth. The two main chapters on the Arab-Israeli conflict are contributed by an Israeli and an Egyptian.
