The Unfinished Agenda: The Citizen's Policy Guide to Environmental Issues
Edited by Gerald O. Barney
Crowell, 1977, 160 pp.

This task force report sponsored by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund is a short, action-oriented, policy-focused manifesto which attempts to draw together the major environmental issues and problems into one ready reference guide. The philosophy is a modified "limits to growth" approach, as opposed to Herman Kahn's more optimistic one; the editor is currently serving on the President's Council on Environmental Quality. The impact may be limited by the polemical style, but the work goes far to heighten sensitivities to the global implications of environmental issues.
