Amerika und Westeuropa

Edited by Karl Kaiser and Hans-Peter Schwarz

Belser, 1977, 406 pp.

A symposium of distinguished scholars and former diplomats on the problems facing Western Europe and the U.S. The approaches are different, but a basic consensus about the need of collaboration among the industrial democracies is the underlying premise. The book offers a superb and on the whole a necessarily somber tour d'horizon, with few but eminently sensible prescriptions.
