Vodka Cola

By Charles Levinson
Stock, 1977
476 pp.

A polemic against détente, under cover of which American and European multinationals reap profits trading with the East. A book full of fantasies of American-Soviet collusion, largely tied to well-known American Establishment figures, whose secret purposes are divined, but whose names are frequently misspelled. Unpersuasive to say the least, but perhaps symptomatic of anti-Americanism réchauffé.
