Palestinien sans Patrie

By Abou Iyad
Fayolle, 1978
361 pp.

Much of the mystery surrounding El Fatah and the PLO is dispelled by these autobiographical revelations by one of Arafat's principal colleagues. The story, actually presented by Eric Rouleau of Le Monde from tapes of extensive conversations with Abou Iyad, is at the same time a declaration of faith and an amazingly frank account of the Palestinian "Resistance" in its relations with the Arab states and its underground war of terror with Israel.
