Die Warschauer Vertragsorganisation
Die Warschauer Vertragsorganisation
By Stephan Tiedtke
Oldenbourg, 1978, 195 pp

A welcome addition to the scanty Western literature on the Warsaw Pact. Tiedtke looks not only at Soviet military and political strategy, which the organization is intended to serve, but also at the special interests of the smaller members (notably the GDR) and at such relatively unexplored areas as military doctrine and arms procurement.
