Communism and Eastern Europe
Communism and Eastern Europe
Edited by Frantisek Silnitsky, Larisa Silnitsky and Karl Rey
Karz, 1979, 242 pp

A mixed bag of excerpts and essays by observers and critics of current Marxist orthodoxy in four East European countries. Despite useful accompanying background and commentary, the book lacks editorial discipline. The essays themselves provide the real meat and they confirm the main conclusion: the diversity both of East Europe's communism and of its anti-communism.
