The Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz

By R. K. Ramazani

Sijthoff, 1979, 180 pp.

In this volume, one in a series on international straits, the author gives us all the necessary geographical, legal and strategic information on Hormuz, the "global chokepoint," plus extended and well-reasoned discussion of the many international problems of the Gulf region. Some of his future "scenarios," however, suffer from having been written before the revolution in Iran.
