Soviet Naval Diplomacy

In recent times there has been much discussion about developing "rules of the game" for regulating the East-West competition in the Third World. This book examines the Soviet practice in the use of naval forces for political purposes. From Moscow's perspective, its naval deployments are seen as having been successful, and the establishment of a forward presence has reduced American freedom of action.
