The first five volumes of a projected 14-volume set containing the personal correspondence of FDR on foreign affairs in facsimile reproductions of the original documents, with Roosevelt's marginal notes and queries. Virtually every significant letter and memo of the period is included; most have not been previously published. Robert Dallek has contributed the foreword. This is a continuation of the three-volume series Franklin D. Roosevelt and Foreign Affairs, published by Harvard/Belknap in 1969, which covered the foreign policy correspondence of the first Roosevelt Administration.
