The Royal House of Jordan may be an unlikely champion of Palestinian nationalism but it is not going to be backward in defending Arab rights against Israel. He terms Camp David and the Israeli-Egyptian treaty "a disaster" and calls for a comprehensive negotiation, including the PLO, based on existing Security Council resolutions expanded to include the right of the Palestinian Arabs to an independent state alongside Israel.
