The Political Economy of International Finance

By Eugène Versluysen
St. Martin's, 1981
266 pp. $25.00

Not as sweeping as its title, this is a good study of the changing character of the different kinds of Euromarkets. With clear descriptions of how things work, the author's favorable judgment of the value of the new methods does not diminish his worry about new crises in the offing. His discussion of possible reforms clarifies more than it persuades.
