Change and the Muslim World
Change and the Muslim World

For a better understanding of the questioning, ferment, reform movements and political violence now evident in much of the Muslim world, the Western reader will do well to consult this collection of essays by Islamic and non-Islamic experts. In presenting the cultural variations in many national environments in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, they reflect the diversity in Islam; unfortunately, because the canvas is so broad, the individual essays are often all too brief.
