The Islamic Bomb: The Nuclear Threat to Israel and the Middle East

By Steve Weissman and Herbert Krosney

Times Books, 1982, 339 pp.

This fast-paced account of nuclear machinations involving, principally, Pakistan, Iraq and France has some fascinating tidbits of information drawn from the authors' interviews. But the journalistic, breathless tone of the narrative and the uneven treatment of what is already known detracts from the overall credibility of the book.
