An overview and critique, by an international battery of experts, of the state of agriculture in the communist states (including Yugoslavia) in mid-1981, taking account of the past and looking tentatively ahead. It is a generally sorry picture except in Hungary. This is a most useful reference book, with contributions in English or German, sometimes both.
