Defense Economics
Defense Economics
By Gavin Kennedy
St. Martin's, 1983, 248 pp

Much ground-defense expenditures around the world, planning and budgeting, weapons procurement and macroeconomic factors-is covered in this second work by Gavin Kennedy on the subject. Many of the comments are controversial and therefore stimulating. The fact that the author is not American, in a field long dominated by Americans (he is a senior lecturer in economics at the University of Strathclyde in the U.K.), adds to its interest.
