Party Politics in Israel and the Occupied Territories

Israel's policy in the Occupied Territories, intimately connected with the questions of security and ideology so important to Israelis of all parties, has been strongly influenced by the factionalism characteristic of Israeli politics within the major parties and within the coalition governments. The usefulness of this study lies in the running account of disputes and maneuvers from 1967 to 1981 and the strictures these placed on policy regarding the eventual disposition of the Territories.
