Original and deeply researched essays on American policy toward Korea by eleven American scholars, including a useful essay on manuscript sources in the National Archives bearing on the subject. The essay by Mark Paul entitled "Diplomacy Delayed: the Atomic Bomb and the Division of Korea, 1945" is particularly good.
