The Islamic Struggle in Syria
The Islamic Struggle in Syria
By Dr. Umar F. Abd-Allah
Mizan Press, 1983, 300 pp

This publication presents to the world, and particularly to Islamic brother nations (such as Iran, temporarily blinded by false views), the cause of the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood, whose aim is the removal of President Hafez Assad and of the ruling Baath regime in Damascus. It is more than a political tract, however, in that it contains a wealth of information on the origins, history, leadership and aspirations of the Brotherhood. An appendix contains the texts of the Brotherhood manifesto and the program of the "Islamic revolution" in which it is now engaged.
