The Peruvian Experiment Reconsidered
The Peruvian Experiment Reconsidered
Edited by Cynthia McClintock and Abraham F. Lowenthal
Princeton University Press, 1983, 442 pp

These 13 essays are devoted to historical, economic and political perspectives on the Peruvian Revolution of 1968. Most of the contributors find little success in the movement. Abraham Lowenthal, in an overview chapter, looks to modernization and reform as the criteria, and believes positive changes in the structure and distribution of power, and in value patterns, have occurred.
