National Foreign Policies and European Political Cooperation

Edited by Christopher Hill

Allen & Unwin, 1983, 207 pp.

The record of a conference at Chatham House, with papers by European experts, on each of the EEC member states who together built up a habit of consultation on foreign policy, known formally as the European Political Cooperation. It has been particularly active in dealings with international organizations and with specific regions, such as the Middle East. This European practice is important, inadequately known in this country, and usefully examined in this volume.
