Peacekeeping: Appraisals and Proposals
Peacekeeping: Appraisals and Proposals
Edited by Henry Wiseman
Pergamon Press, 1983, 461 pp

General Indar Rikhye and other scholars and pioneers in this field associated with the International Peace Academy have taken one of the most successful examples of U.N. activity, peacekeeping, and subjected the record to a searching appraisal from several angles of vision: from U.N. headquarters in New York (a chapter written by Brian Urquhart), from commanders in the field, and from the two sides of a critical peacekeeping zone (Egypt and Israel), and others. A significant and potentially influential book.
