Europe’s Industries: Public and Private Strategies for Change
Edited by Geoffrey Shepherd, François Duchêne, and Christoph
Cornell University Press, 1984, 280 pp.
This is a valuable collection of industry studies that pays attention to the policies of enterprises as well as governments. There is too much diversity (in the studies as well as the cases) to extract any clear formula for success, but one learns much about the many roads to trouble.
