Forgotten Partnership: U.S.-Canada Relations Today

By Charles F. Doran

Johns Hopkins, 1984, 294 pp.

The strengths of this very good book are its historical perspective and its broad international context, avoiding the parochialism characteristic of some writing on Canadian-American relations. One interesting theme is that American initiatives for greater economic integration stimulate Canadian initiatives for autarky and vice versa.
