Articles and ensuing discussions-the outgrowth of an Aspen symposium dealing with Berlin since the Wall, its legal and political status, its likely development. Despite ameliorative agreements, both international and German-German, and despite the extraordinary rapprochement between the two Germanies, West Berlin remains a vulnerable spot, not least because of its own troubled economic, demographic and spiritual existence. The book is informative, candid and worrisome.
