Los Estados Unidos y Trujillo: Coleccion de Documentos del Departamento de Estado, de la Fuerzas Armadas Norteamericanas y de los Archivos del Palacio Nacional Dominicano, Ano 1930
Edited by Bernardo Vega
Fundacion Cultural Dominicana, 1986, pp.
Continuing the excellent series that began with compilations of diplomatic, archival and photographic documentation covering U.S. relations with the Dominican Republic in 1945-47, the editor now presents two volumes devoted to the U.S. role in that Caribbean country in 1930 and in the years immediately preceding, while Trujillo was rising to power. The same high standards are maintained here, including extensive analytical commentary by the editor. Well done, and highly useful.
