Securing Europe's Future

Securing Europe's Future

Edited by Stephen J. Flanagan and Fen Osler Hampson

Auburn House, 1986, 334 pp.

This is as good an overview of the political and military dimensions of current European security issues as can be found. It is written by the "successor generation" of European and American scholars, assembled here by Harvard's Center for Science and International Affairs. They fully understand the lasting importance of the "old" issues, such as NATO and East-West relations, and are very knowledgeable about their "new" dimensions.
