Israel Faces the Future
Israel Faces the Future
Edited by Bernard Reich and Gershon R. Kieval
Praeger, 1986, 224 pp

A number of American specialists write on the state of affairs in Israel in the aftermath of the 1984 election. The economic chapters are substantial and provide the meat of the book. The political chapters are mainly concerned with electoral arithmetic, party alignments and the role of the Oriental Jews in society and politics. Those on foreign policy are disappointingly thin.
