Perspectives on a U.S.-Canadian Free Trade Agreement

Edited by Robert M. Stern, Philip H. Trezise and John Whalle

Brookings, 1987, 266 pp.

These papers, and brief comments on them, from a conference sponsored by the University of Michigan and the University of Western Ontario do a very good job of discussing many possible aspects of a free trade area between the United States and Canada. They give a good bit of attention to the effects on third countries and the international trading system as well.
